MARTYRDOM OF JOHN THE BAPTIST

Mk 6: 17-29
If our apostolate is a sharing in the preaching of Jesus, we have to bring to it dispositions similar to His and in the first place a right intention (VMC 979).
From Father Tom: And how do we check if we indeed have a right intention? One very good way is to continue the work even in the face of little or no results. Anybody can give up. The reward is for persevering.
