The Master Timothy Giaccardo started the House of Rome. He governed the Motherhouse for many years. He supported and strengthened the Pious Disciples in their spirit. He was a tireless confessor, preacher and consoler. He offered his life for the Pauline Family (UPS, III, 240)
From Father Tom: The early story of the House of Rome, and the incidental struggles with impossible circumstances, are clear proof of the heroism of Bl. Giaccardo's virtues. In the Motherhouse (Alba) he gave a tremendous display of faith in retaining the young people all during World War II instead of sending them home.
