The life of prayer is, therefore, a preparation for eternity, and the one who prays grows ever more perfect in the exercise of praise and adoration, thanksgiving, propitiation and supplication which are fulfilled by the blessed in heaven.

O Lord, we thank you
because you made yourself our model.
You left us examples of the highest perfection.
You have invited us to follow you on earth and in heaven.
May we praise, bless and glorify you
with your saints
for all eternity.
