If you wish to become holy, avoid disputes about the different schools of spirituality and the latest "devotions." Dedicate yourself to living to the fullest your life in Christ (VMC 598).
Spiritual life = to live in Christ, imitating His TRUTH, in thought and speech, imitating His WAY in behavior, imitating his LIFE in a constant effort to keep in contact with Him-- those short, incessant invocations are SO effective!
