In the Pauline Family the first thing to be learned is the devotion to Jesus Master, Way, Truth and Life which must not consist just of an occasional prayer or hymn, but must mark our entire life (VMC 590).
What seems to be involved here is a sincere application of our powers of mind, heart and will to THINK of the Lord frequently--he never forgets us!-- to turn our HEARTS to him, even (and perhaps especially!) in complaint--to TRY SERENELY to do the right thing in each situation. Make Him, in other words, come alive in us--the best brother we have!
