OF THE DAY
2 Kgs 2:1, 6-14
Ps 31: 20-24
Mt 6: 1-6
If Saint Paul exhorts the Romans not to get tired of doing good, because their hard work will not be in vain, but will have its reward, how much more these words can be applied to the apostle! (RSP 244).
From Father Tom: Exactly. The Roman Christians St. Paul writes to were good people but not especially committed. WE ARE, and we must keep that thought constantly in the foreground of our minds. It's not only a matter of looking for new people--usually discouraging--but of associating ourselves in some way with some parish initiative. Reward? Later alligator. That's the Master's specialty.
Please Pray For Our Deceased: Sr. Maria Fresco FSP (1992)--S.r Teresina Veglio FSP (1999)--Sr. M. Bibiana Ravina PD (1999)--Sr. M. Egidia Vitale FSP (2000)--Bro Giuseppe Epaminonda SSP (2002)--Adele Cocchieri HFI (2008)--Florence Candela (1934)
