From Father Tom: The reference here, of course, is to the print media but actually the point is contained in the first sentence which very much applies in every age. Isn't it hard to believe that we need piety? I tell you to reform and you reply, sincerely, "Yes, I will." And you mean it. But will you? For while, yes, and then the novelty wears off...unless I have prayed and am still praying.
