June 4, 2014 With Blessed Father Alberione and With Father Tom

Wednesday, June 4
EASTER WEEKDAY
FIRST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH--ST JOSEPH
Acts 20: 28-38
Ps 68: 29-36
Jn 17: 11-19

St. Paul: the saint of universality. Admiration and devotion for him began especially with the study and meditation of his Letter to the Romans. Form then on, Paul's personality, his holiness, his heart, his intimacy with Jesus, his contribution to dogmatic and moral teaching, the mark he left on church organization and his zeal for all peoples--became topics of meditation (AD 64).

From Father Tom: I often wonder if any of the promoters of same-sex marriage and other deviations from the straight-and-narrow, have taken time to read the first chapter of St. Paul's Letter to the Romans where the issue of homosexuality (you never hear that word nowadays) is highlighted in all its ugliness. And what about you and me? Are we not beginning to give ground, coughing discreetly to avoid a comment? What a distortion of values! Alberione had no idea things would come to this.

Please Pray For Our Deceased: Sr. Immacolata Arioni FSP (1969)--MIchela Cabiddu HFI (1976)--Fr. Tomas Climaco SSP (1997)--Sr. M. rosa Cappelletti FSP (2000)--Gabriella Bruno HFI (2011)-- Barbara Endress (1982)
