Saint Paul possesses the art of captivating hearts. At home, he is loved. He is the master, the protector, the model, the guide and the titular. Talking of Saint Paul cheers up the faces, makes hearts beat and stirs up songs of love (La primavera paolina 216).

From Father Tom: This quote belongs--as the reference says--to the "primavera paolina"--the bright and beautiful. But, of course, it  wasn't and in human affairs it never is. I dislike disagreeing with my Superior but..St. Paul "captivated hearts?" Possibly--except when he had to run for his life as the Acts tell us. Talking of Paul "cheers up faces?"
