After hearing the voice of Jesus, Saint Paul made an effort to copy in everything his Divine Master, such that Saint John Chrysostom did not hesitate to affirm that "the heart of Paul was the heart of Christ," that is, the life itself of the Apostle was the same life of Jesus Christ (Read Sacred Scriptures, 81).
From Father Tom: So the life of Paul was = to the life of Christ? We will avoid asking about the resemblance or lack of it between our life and Christ's (maybe the resemblance is closer than we think) and recall that the Master is living in each of us since Baptism working patiently in and through our defective human nature.
