SS PETER AND PAUL, APOSTLES
Acts 12: 1-11
Ps 34: 2-9
2 Tm 4: 6-8, 17-18
Mt 16: 13-19
Saints Peter and Paul arrived in Rome. The former appearing as a fisherman, the latter as a chained prisoner. But they had the mandate of the Word, Jesus the Way, Truth and Life in their souls, a single aim to win disciples for the Divine Master. And they gained Rome and the world (SP 1946).
From Father Tom: This was the day I was confirmed. Also the day, 20 years later, when we Deacons went on Retreat before Ordination. Do you always keep in mind, nostalgically and grateful(ly), the highlights of your meeting with the HFI and all that followed? It was the greatest thing that happened to you after Baptism and First Holy Communion. Reflect on it today and often in the future.
