The resolve of the Pauline family is to portray and live Saint Paul today. It does this by thinking, living out his zeal, praying and sanctifying itself, as Saint Paul would do, if he were alive today (SP 1954).

From Father Tom: "Portray and live (like) St. Paul..." That in fact has to be our first consideration. There is something dishonest if writers counsel others in proper living while they are much less scrupulous. St. Paul was transparently hotly right from his time as a student and then Rabbi. He reacted with righteous anger against the early against the early followers of Jesus and continued in this saintly mentality even when he had to change his theological viewpoint.
